Nestled in the quiet village of Sivas the romantic house for two was built by my grand grandparents in 1908 and carries over a century of history and family life. Today, lovingly restored with respect for its origins, it welcomes guests as an intimate retreat, where time seems to flow more slowly. The house welcomes you in a bloomy intimate yard and then it unfolds across two floors, each with its own unique atmosphere. On the ground floor, within ancient stone walls and graceful arches, you’ll find the kitchen and the bathroom: spaces discreetly renewed, where modern comfort blends naturally with rustic charm. Going up the wooden stairs, the heart of the home reveals itself in a bright and romantic bedroom, where warm wooden floors harmonize with the solidity of the stone walls. In the balcony you can relax admiring the view or the stars. Every detail preserves the spirit of the old Cretan manor house: stone arches, original floors, restored wooden doors and furnishings. Blended seamlessly with these are touches of modernity and sustainability- natural materials and eco-conscious solutions that respect the environment and enhance the sense of harmony.
This stone house from 1908 is a journey into Cretan tradition. Stone arches, wooden ceilings, and simple yet welcoming spaces tell stories of a past still alive. Here you’ll experience the authenticity of cretan tradition and you'll have a perfect place from where to begin exploring the south coast of Crete. Our house is a retreat for those seeking peace and romance still remaining in a traditional village with everything you need is just a few steps from your door.
